Working with Valued Client Aramark, Frank DiCicco Associates Champions Citywide Efforts to Improve Food Access

Philadelphia continues to demonstrate what’s possible when public agencies, nonprofit partners, and private-sector supporters work toward a shared goal. The recent expansion of the One Philly Produce Project — an initiative of the Mayor’s Office of Education in partnership with Food Connect and Sharing Excess — marks a significant step in improving food access for families across the city. With new support from Aramark, the program will now reach all Extended Day/Extended Year (EDEY) and Community Schools, delivering more than 300,000 pounds of fresh produce throughout the school year.

“As the hometown team, giving back to our community and partnering with the City on critical issues like food insecurity is fundamental to Aramark’s mission” - Chris Havener, Senior Vice President of Aramark

The One Philly Produce Project is designed around a simple but powerful idea: meet families where they already are. By distributing fresh fruits and vegetables directly through schools, the initiative removes common barriers to accessing healthy food and supports thousands of students in neighborhoods where the need is greatest. Aramark’s investment closes a critical funding gap in the program’s expansion, enabling the city and its nonprofit partners to triple distribution capacity and strengthen long-term food access infrastructure.

For Frank DiCicco Associates (FDA), this initiative is a strong example of the strategic, community-focused work the firm champions every day. FDA has long supported efforts that bring government leaders, local nonprofits, and corporate partners into alignment around shared priorities. Projects like this reflect the firm’s belief that sustainable community impact comes from coordinated, cross-sector collaboration — the kind that turns citywide goals into on-the-ground outcomes for families.

“Frank DiCicco Associates is honored to represent Aramark and support the impactful work they’re doing in Philadelphia and beyond” - Carl Engelke, Managing Partner

As Philadelphia continues building equitable access to essential resources, FDA remains committed to advancing initiatives that strengthen neighborhoods and improve quality of life across the region. The expansion of the One Philly Produce Project is more than a food distribution effort — it’s a model for how the public, private, and nonprofit sectors can come together to create a healthier, more connected city.
